Im in the market for a LCD monitor for gaming, but im having problems with specs, primarly contrast ration and reponse time,
I found one Samsung monitor with a 50,000 dynamic contrast ration (1000:1 normal), and 2ms gray-to-gray response time, now i know that gray-to-gray reponse time is not the full response time and that contrast ratios are slighty overated (marketing tactics), but i just need a monitor that will not show any ghosting/lagging and provide a good contrasts.
So whats the deal with dynamic contrast ratios and gray-to-gray reponse times, some people tell me that 5ms is to slow and others say that the human eye cant see faster than 6ms and anything under 8ms is pointless, i need some help here.
