Hi Dave,

You seem to have left the transitional stage off, either way....see if this
helps:

Check your settings here:

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit.

Under Application used to perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll. Then go to:
IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

Add Open New Browser Window to IE Toolbar (Line 274)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Second open window of IE hangs:
IE/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and uncheck the option
to Enable third party browsing extensions, restart IE.

If none of the above helps....more info needed. Good luck and keep us
posted!
