MY GOSH!
If you want a really bad service than I know just the place for you! The service that I recieved was certainly one to put me off that shop for a life time.
For my Birthday I requested a bundle off my mother (from overclockers.co.uk), which I was very happy to receive (cheers mum! ). She then informed me that although she had paid £12 for next day delivery it didnt actually arrive for 8 days! Yep over a week late!
I thought that was abit bad......It got worse.
Everything went in my pc fine and dandy, for a change, until it came to the setup. This is when i realised that I had been sent the wrong CPU. An AMD Athlon XP 1600+ instead of a 1700+. Ok, so its only one step down, but I paid for a 1700+.
Being an internet based company I thought email would be a fairly safe way of contacting them to arrange the switch of the CPU's to the right one. To cut a long story short, after 2 weeks of constant emails to them ( with about 2 relies in that time) including several to the general manager I had come to the conclusion that they dont really read their emails. So I called up...now I am not really one for classical music, but I was forced to listen to it for pretty much a whole day while i waiting to talk to someone in customer service. eventually I got through and spoke to a guy called Alex. He seemed helpful at first. He, after a lot of discussion, agreed to send a courier out to collect the CPU I had and as soon as the courier had collected that one he would dispatch the right one, as I didnt have enough time to just post it back because I am going to uni on friday (in 3 days). Now not only was this annoying because I had to wait around all day on wednesday and thursday for the couriers to come to collect and to drop off, but it also meant I was without a PC for 3 days, even thought it was their fault I had the wrong CPU! Anyway, I sat around all day to find that no courier came! YIPEE!
So now I still have the wrong CPU after 18 days and will be left with that for at least another week unitl I can find out a postal address at Uni.
Well thats my story! It may not sound too bad. but believe me its pretty annoying! If you have any stories of their appauling service please let me know, as I am planning of informing the TSA.
