My laptop wont find my usb

I have been using my USB flash drive in my laptop for age and I never have any problems. I used it yesterday and all was fine but today when I plugged it in for some reason it wouldn't light up nor show up on my laptop. I have plugged other flash drives into my laptop and they are all working fine, however the one which is not working is the one with all the work on it which I need right now. :/
Does anyone have any tips on what i could do to get my work off the USB flash drive ?!?!?
I don't know if this information will help but my flash drive is a bytestor 10101010 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive and my laptop is a Samsung Netbook.

did you try the flash usb on another computer or not

Try it it a different Computer and if that doesn't work spend 10$ or so and get a new one.
