Hello,

I have a rather old creative audigy sound card. Evertime I plays any audio files, there will be the occasional loud "tsk" sound present. It is the same no matter what speakers/headphones I used. The sound will even be recorded onto any recording software with the input turned to "What you hear".

I have tried turning off hardware acceleration but to no avail. The weirdest thing is, Windows media player does not produce that "tsk" sound but all other software does. I have tried it for a very long time, and media player never gives me this problem, which all other players definitely produces such noise in every audio file I used.

Any ideas?

hmmm. could be windows getting creaky or the audigy driver... try reinstalling with the latest driver off the creative website

Trust me I know what I'm doing... ooops, grab the cat...

Yep, I have already tried with the latest drivers, but the problem persists.
