I have a mn-510 adapter on my desktop talking to a netgear
base station. When I'm not using the internet I would
like to turn off the wireless adapter on my desktop.
Other wireless cards I have used have a menu option in
their utility tray icon to turn the connection on or off.
Am I missing something, or does the MN-510 just not have
this basic feature??

The software with the MN-510 doesn't -- you need to dig
into the configuration settings to disable the radio, or
you may disable the connection, but then you need to go to
Network Connections to reenable it.

Or you could just stop the hardware & remove it. That's a ton easier
then navigating through all those Windows.
