sound problem with dell dimenesion 3100

Sometimes when I turn on my PC, which virus updates on switch on, my
sound does not work!
If I re-boot some times it works, other times I have to re-boot again.
Any one with a solution.
Ps dell support no help.

Sounds like a resource conflict. Check your IRQ's.
