Gateway Experiences?

Alright, so I've been lurkin' around on Newegg for awhile trying to find a decent monitor for my first rig. As of now, this seems to be the monitor for me. It doesn't have any reviews yet though, so I'm unsure about Gateway quality. What does the Tom's Hardware Community think about Gateway Monitors?

I also have an off-topic concern. I was talking to the local computer technician and he said that his experience with Newegg wasn't so good. He says that sometimes the product you obtain isn't always new. Should I avoid Newegg or not?
