Nothing was spilled into it. I think its a mechanical issue. Is there
a way I can pop it off and not break it, then put it back on properly?

Hey,
I took a key off my keyboard because I'm an idiot, now I can't get it back on right. I wonder if you could tell me what I'm doing wrong... it's the up arrow key, and I've got all the pieces, nothing broken. There's the two little square parts that snap together to make a scissor under the key itself, and the little silicone cone that acts as a spring. I can put it all together the way that looks right when apart, but then when you go to use it it doesn't kick back up, and doesn't work. I guess I have something flipped or in wrong, but I can't see what, and I've tried a bunch of different ways. Thanks,
Will

Go to a used computer parts store, and buy an old IBM Model M keyboard.

They can withstand everything, I'm still using one of these built in 1984, Made is USA.

And they have the best feeling of them all

Otherwise, go to your local store, and buy a BenQ with Scissor like keys.
