I just got a Dell E2209W 22" wide screen LCD. Nice, but it sits too low on the non adjustable stand.

MY Dell FP1901 has a great stand, both height and pivot adjustable. Of course neither have standard VESA mounts. I removed the 1901 from it's stand, it has 5 tabs on it but the 2209 only has 4 slots. The 2 tabs on the bottom and the outer 2 on the top look like they will line up perfectly with the slots on the 2209.

Im thinking if I cleanly remove that 5th, center tab, I can mount the 2209 on the 1901's stand just like I knew what I was doing. I dont see what purpose the 5th tab serves other than to make it difficult to switch em up. Anyone know different? If I needed to put the 1901 back on the 1901 stand, I dont think not having the 5th tab should make a difference.

Thank you. Thank you very much.
