Key not working

If only one key is not responding (at all ?) it suggests a mechanical fault restricted to that key (usually cable or matrix failure is characterised by a group of keys failing).

However your post is slightly confusing -- you say "the key is there but it won't put the letter you need". Does this mean it is producing some output but the wrong letter. That might suggest a simple Windows problem.
