I've been shopping for a new development laptop lately, and I'd really like one with an 18.4" screen. However, all notebooks on the market with that size screen appear to have a glossy screen. I hate glossy because of the glare problem.

I see that some companies like 3M offer after-market films that you can put over an LCD screen to reduce glare. (They're also marketed as improving privacy, but I don't care about that.)

Does anyone know if these work well?
