Hey guys, wondering if anybody had this little decoder and if they can answer a simple question for me

I want to buy one and hook it up to my xbox so i can use my klipsch 5.1 speakers on my xbox. question is this, when im using my xbox to listen to music, will the decoder let me do 4 channel stereo ? so no upsampling just want to get stereo from the front and the back, basically how it is on my pc using my audigy sound card. Wanna make sure that it fills up my room,
