I need the software for my Canon Digital DS6041 Rebel Camera so that I can dwn load pictures from the camera into my computer. I am using a new computer and need this software so that I can continue using my Camera. Any idea where to get this software. I purchased a PC Help Driver thinking it would solve the problem since I already have Canon software in my computer, but it did not work. Send me a link where I can get the necessary software.
Thanks,
James

The Canon DS6041 is referred to as the “EOS Digital Rebel” or 300D. The supported OS is Windows 98 (including SE) / 2000 / Me / XP.

I have the linker for win7 compatibility list here http://www.usa.canon.com/app/html/windowsupport/win7page.html

If you still have the USB cable (http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Cable-IFC-400PCU-Cameras-Camcorders/dp/B0002A4M4I%3FSubscriptionId%3DAKIAIWZHX3YU4NCMJPQQ%26tag%3Dahira-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB0002A4M4I
Or http://www.amazon.com/Firewire-Extension-Cable-Digital-camcorder/dp/B002WPUC5Y/ref=pd_cp_p_4) comes with camera, you can try to plug in the computer. if you can see the device (camera), then you can down load the pictures, if you can see it, then you want to buy the card reader to down load the pictures, because it is not compatible with OS so that there is not driver to down load.

Also I find the other way, you can try http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/54556-5-driver-rebel-camera.
