Over half the standard modules on the market should work fine. Probably over 3/4 of them. But Compaq does do some weird things that often prevent certain modules from working correctly.
If you can source the RAM locally, at a good price, it's worth a try. If you buy it online, with online return penalties, you'd better make sure it's varified to work first.
