I recently was able to get a Pre Black Friday deal and get this for 999 plus the CA sales tax.

I think it is a pretty good deal, especially seeing that it has the high end i7 mobile CPU in it. Just be sure to look into some sort of extended warranty on it, as those HP's tend to run hot and quit long before they should.

I had been looking at that promo coupon also but unfortunately didn't pull the trigger in time. Did they put out a new code, or is this from the same promo they were offering earlier in the week?

It's a good deal, but I highly suggest you find another notebook without a quad-core if you don't do heavy, intensive CPU applications. Your battery life will thank you.

This is from the promo they were offering earlier in the week. It expired at 200 uses and the same for a few of there other promos. As for now Newegg has some promos and dells has a promo.
