I need a gaming laptop. Have around $1200 to spend. But it' weight must be around 2kg, < than 3kg.

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

3_What screen resolution do you want?

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

5_How much battery life do you need?

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?


11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

1.Rm 4000 (about ($1200)
2.15'' or less. No 17'' beast
3. 16:9 if possible
4.portable
5.2-3 hours longer is more preferable
6.Crysis@ medium, WiC @ high.
7.Video converting, work, and some burning\
8. 320Gb min
9.nope
10. 2-3 yeras probably
11. DVD ROM/Writer(min) (BD ROM in prefered)
12. Specifically NO Acer.. their product are CRAP.. Will definitely go kaput after a year of using..

Would advise to check sony new cw laptop... cheap and with geforce gt230 dedicated and 14"

Saw it in a local sony store. Just below my budget. But the GT230 is a put off though.

GTX 260M is a clear better choice than GT 230M in gaming.
4ILY that ASUS G51V looks a decent choice,great specs with a great price.
