is there anything special about this enclosure?

I noticed some reviews saying some enclosures have issues being recognized.

is there any really awesome enclosures?

Your probably won't be able to find anyone with first hand experience with SATA to USB enclosures.

There are a lot of high quality enclosures for IDE and IDE is cheaper than SATA, so there is not much demand. I could only find one enclosure.

There are simply more spare PATA IDE drives floating arround than there are SATA IDE drives.

I know that too. But the issue is I am moving to a laptop and my old desktop has 2 sata harddrives in it.

is there any site that deals with this or whatsoever?

-thanks

You could always use a SATA to IDE adapter, BUT ONLY IF THERES ENOUGH ROOM INSIDE THE ENCLOSURE, which there probably isn't.
