I currently have http://www.misco.co.uk/application [...] 16&CatId=0 as a single monitor but i am looking to upgrade to dual monitors. My current monitor runs at 1680x1050 but i was going to purchase a second 22" monitor that runs at 1920x1080 as that would be an improvement. But i have a few questions. I've heard that have two monitors of different brands and styles can be slightly irritating in terms of style and secondly, would having two different resolutions make the taskbar look wierd going across? Thanks

In my experience (although there are different ways of setting it up) the task bar only runs across your main or "1" monitor. The "2" monitor is just your wallpaper. I am currently running a old 19" Mitsubishi Diamond CRT monitor at 1280x1024 and a 22" Dell 2209WA IPS LCD at 1680x1050.

you can download third party programs such as ultramon to extend the taskbar across both monitors
