Dell's supply chain is in shambles. I ordered a Dell XPS 16 i7-720 laptop (4MB, 128 G SSD, 1G Radeon 4670) on October 13th and it has been twice delayed, now promised to ship on Dec. 9th. The Dell is a good deal at $1,330 but I'm thinking about canceling the order.
This will be my primary business computer so I'm looking for a powerful desktop replacement that can put up with long hours of use and can power my 30" monitor at 2560 x 1600. Advice about alternative mid-to-high level laptops appreciated, especially Sager and HP. Thanks!

2_What is the size? 15" but could go 17"
3_What screen resolution? 900p or better
4_ type? desktop replacement
5_How much battery life do you need? Not important
6_Do you want to play games? Yes. Civilization, Dawn of Discovery, WoW
7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? Movies
8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) ? 128-- prefer speed over size
