Help in Buying a Laptop

Hey Everyone........Im looking into buying a new laptop and kind of having a hard time. I skipped some of the FAQ questions as they seemed not important. I live in the US btw

1_What is your budget? -----------looking at spending $650 or less

2_How large is the screen size you need/ want?--------satisfied with 14"

3_Size/Weight of the Laptop?-------Thin or Ultra (weight is important)

4_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? ------Mainly Photoshop and HD video viewing (video editing optional). But should be MultiTask capable atm I have 3 diff application open.

5_How much battery life do you need? ----------at least 4+ hrs of full load use

6_What kind of Optical drive do you need? ---------DVD-RW

7_How long do you expect this laptop to last you serving your needs listed above (years, upgrade cycles)? ----At least 3-5yrs if taken care.


I was looking at the Acer Timeline AS4810TZ-4508...............but I am still a bit conflicted. Is there any other laptop within the same price range that can offer more
