Hello Everyone,

I have a monitor question.

What is the differnce between a 1920x1080p and a 1920x1080i Monitor?

Thanks for your help.

One monitor can handle updating 1080lines at once, the other does it 540 lines at a time.

The P stands for progressive scan(crt terminology) the I stands for interlaced.

Strangestranger, Thanks for your reply.

Now I have four more questions.

1. Which is one can handle updating 1080 lines at once?
2. Which is the best for movies etc?
3. Which is the best for gaming?
4. Which is the best all around?

Thanks again
