What would be a better choice? Hitachi 60gig 7200rpm or Hitachi 80gig 5400rpm, these drives are $160 and $120 respectively. I play games on my laptop and things to consider are this..
1. Do 7200 rpm have that big of an advantage over 5400.
2. Why pay more for a smaller HD. I am losing money and storage.
If I bought a 7200 rpm HD and got about 8 more frame rates out of some games, I would go for it. I am currently using a Hitachi 40gig 4200rpm.

Wusy is right, you'd get slightly faster load times for all you programs (including Windows), but most programs wouldn't perform better (including games).

that MIGHT be the case if he could use the computer at all after spending so many years trying to understand why CPU has so many pins if it can only process "1" or "0" at a time.
