The problem: after playing the expansion for a while, approximately 2 weeks,
all of a sudden I don't get further then a black screen, e.g the intro
movies don't start and I get back to the desktop.
Tried re-installing, emptying temp folders, there are no patches available.
My system: Windows XP with 32 MB onboard Video. As I said, it was running
before without problems.

Sorry, should have included the DxDiag results with the query. Admittedly
the system is not the best for game playing, but that is not the point, the
game ran before! I am thinking of replacing my video card as it is not
supported by a number of games (RoN for instance), any suggestions?

Seems I managed to fix it: uninstalled BOTH empire earth versions and rran
regcleaner to remove the lobby registry. Re-installed both again, restarting
the computer everytime. Seems to be working fine again. I will not install
the patches for the original game as I think they might have messed it up.
anyhow, I won't be playing it as I got the expansion and I believe you don't
need the patches for it.
