My Gateway PC power supply is dead and was wondering if it is possible to somehow hook up the PC to my Dell docking station and access some of my stuff in the dead PC via my Dell laptop and dock?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Possibly, but 99% unlikely to work. It depends on if the ports are same pinouts, same shape and size, the notebooks use the same power adapters, have the same IO capability...and more. This is, of course, assuming your Gateway is a notebook. If it's a desktop, then the answer is definitely no.

Thank you for the answer. Thought it was worth a try before I head to the computer doctor. Yes, it is a desktop so a big fat no to that one. Thanks again!
