Viewsonic e790 fuzzy on corners

For the very large sum of $300 ten years ago it's performed flawlessly. But for the past week the time on the bottom right corner has showed up fuzzy and the whole screen also flickers intermittently. But not regularly.

The main part of the screen seems ok otherwise.

I know it's not worth fixing but was wondering if there's anything I can do setting wise to maybe see if i can fix it.

I'm also hesitant to go to LCD because while im not a heavy gamer, years ago i heard they werent as good as crt
