I have a Toshiba Satellite A215-s5824. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit.
No problems there at all!

But when i run toshibas software installation program for windows 7, it tells me that i do not have a toshiba laptop! then it tells me the Tbios driver is only for toshiba products.

I used the "CPU-z" program to find out my DMI has been wiped, and is blank.
I tried the "CPU-z DMI/SMBIOS" tool but it says there is no information on my system.

I called toshiba only to find out my warranty ran out in June! Figures huh?

I've searched for weeks and I see people talking about a
toshiba DMI tool to repair it. Igot he one from toshiba site (tosdmi10.exe)
and its for a tecra model not a satellite model.

I am desperately needing help.

Problem is fixed! I ran the "Toshiba Test and Diagnostics for A200 - A215 Systems"
