Hi!
I have Win-XP Pro SP2. I set the screen saver to run after 15 min and ask
for password on resume. The power management is configured to stop the
monitor after 30 min all other power management setting are set to off. When
the pc is starting every thing works fine. 1 or 2 days after the boot process
the Screen Saver stop working but the power management for the monitor works.
I mean that when I come back to my PC after lets say 1 hour the screen is in
off status after I move the mouse the screen turn on but the screen saver is
not activated.
Any ideas?

Check to see what is running in the background. The screen saver won't kick
in until 15 minutes (or what ever you have it set for) of inactivity.
Obviously something is running. Hopefully a system scan or something you
have set to run, if not, perhaps some malware reporting back to the mother
ship or your harddrive being accessed to send out spam via a back door
virus.

Run a good scan to make sure there are no viruses or malware, clean it up
and it should work as intended again.
