How to receive a digital cable signal for tv

I only received 1 receiver with my cable package. What type of receiver do I need to purchase for my other televisions

  1. hi there, you can use spliter cable so you have extra one and install it to another tv, but the display would be the same in both television when your going to change the channel.
  2. Get it from the cable company, you need their decoder anyway for the channels. Or you can just connect the cable to a TV with a tuner without the box. You won't get any scrambled channels that way, but also won't have to pay a rental fee for additional cable boxes. The poster above is wrong about a splitter, unless you split the video signal coming out of the cable box you have, which is silly. If you split the cable before it hits your cable box, you can tune anything separately.
