I received an error message....Windows delayed write failed windows was unable to save all the data for the file \Device\Harddisk Volume 2. The data has been lost. The error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.

when do you get this error? only when shutting down?

Could disable delayed write. Go to device manager. right click on the hard disk, properties, policies, unchecked.
