HD acting weird Tags: Hard Drives Western Digital HD Storage Last response: October 15, 2005 9:27 PM in Storage Share Guyi October 14, 2005 5:11:42 PM i enabled SMART and its shows everything is ok. i tested, as advised here, with the WD tools. it said the drive is fine. however, i cannot download files to that drive. i cannot unzip files to that drive. when i do so i get "semaphore timeout, write failed" error. its takes me a lot of time to moves files to that drive. is there a way to diagnose it better? or what to do with it? If the drive is still acting weird, put in for an RMA if its still under warranty.
