Logitech G5 software?

I recently bought the Logitech G5 and I love it. What sealed the deal for me initially is the left-right click scroll wheel. However, upon using this mouse for a few days, I also love the feel, design, and so on.

The one thing I don't like about the Logitech G5 is the Software. It seems extremely limited. For example, I don't see any way to set different hotkeys for different applications. Also, the extra keys don't get recognized in some games.

So my question is, what Software do you guys use in combination with the G5? Do you use the Software that comes with it? If so, is there something I'm missing? Am I not using the Software to its fullest or something? If you don't use the Software that comes with the G5, what do you use?

I really like this mouse, but I'm sort of considering returning it for another mouse with more advanced Software. That'd be a shame, though, because I love the G5 mouse itself.
