Solely between the two (don't suggest others, unless its a real ground breaking deal please),
which one would be a better pick? Asus is cheaper by 30 bucks including rebate, but LG has their brand name
to op them for...

Haven't experienced them in real life but the LG has no HDMI and a GTG response time of 5ms vs. the Asus doesn't specify if their 5ms is GTG or btb. I'd rather opt for the Asus though.
