Hey i have 22 inch full hd 1920x1080 lcd my friends have 1680x1050 Do i have more colors then them cos mine is a little bit smaller cos of the 16/9 and i have bigger resolution so less fps so do i have any advantage on them in games is there a difference in the colors otr the graphic at all or should just go and buy 16/10 monitor?

Oh and no, resolution does not have anything to do with how much colours can be displayed.

How much colours is down to usually which panel type and how it is backlit IIRC.

The panel type determines the number of colors an LCD panel can display.

TN panels can only produce 256k colors by dithering or "blending" up to "16.7m" colors can be created or at least that what the manufacturers claim. This is basically why TN panels monitors are so inexpensive.

PVA, MVA and IPS panels can produce 16.7nm true colors.
