Recommendations for 24" dual display

hi gang. bought my last monitor 8 years ago (a 22 inch viewsonic) which has served me well but need to trade up

will be buying a new computer in about 2 months, and thinking quite seriously about getting two 24 inch displays. I suppose this might seem like overkill but I love the idea of plenty of screen real estate.

I have been reading all the great monitor discussion, but I wonder if anyone thinks any particular monitor would work better for dual display? all thoughts welcome! In terms of price range I was thinking of about $600US for both ie around 300 each... not sure if there is anything feasible in this price range but thought I would ask!
