My current system has 1Gb of 400Mhz DDR2 RAM (2x512). I will shortly be coming into possession of 1Gb of 533Mhz DDR2 RAM (2x512).

1) Stick it all in? In which case, will that work? Can I run them all? At 400 Mhz? At 533 and 400 Mhz respectively? Is this a good idea?
2) Just stick the 533Mhz stuff in.

Any thoughts/help would be much appreciated.

1) you can. Yep, all at 400 though. (can only run as fast as the slowest memory) And finally, if you have applications that use over 1gig of RAM then its a good idea.

2) If you don't need more than 1gig of RAM, this is the better idea.
