Microsoft is going to randomly shut down my PC every two hours? MS has developed a virus-like solution to getting your attention it's time to buy their OS.

if they didn't' people would go till the last minute and then lose their computer till they saved enough to buy an os. look at the transition to digital cable how many times did they move the date for people that couldn't get it together. And i still got a ton of calls when they finally switched it from people who weren't prepared.

Maybe MS could post an onscreen warning. Even a reminder on the update downloads. Having the screen blink off and on reminds me of having a system with 3,456,276 instances of virus and spyware. Just my experience. Oh, I forgot it was Monday...June 1, 2010. That's the day MS will make my computer shut down as a reminder I have to buy the OS now. Just funny is all.

i agree it is sad. but that is what it takes to get through the typical consumers head which is even sadder.
