More about : power amplifier Anonymous February 1, 2010 7:42:12 AM If you're talking about reversing the polarity of the speaker wire, no damage will occur but in a stereo pair the sound will be out of phase, giving strangely stretched image. If in doubt about polarity, put the two speakers opposite each other about a couple of inches apart and if it's reversed (out of phase) bass is greatly reduced due to cancelling effect.
