Hard drive

2 Gigs Ram
250 Gig Hard drive.

Powers up but doe's not find the hard drive.
Checked the Bios and shows the hard drive.
Boot Sequence:
1. Bootable Hard Drive (Not Present)
2. Onboard CD-ROM Drive
3. Onboard Floppy Drive (not present)
(all the rest say not present for USB, etc)

HDD Boot Sequence:
1. Bootable Add-in cards

Drives:

Diskette Drive: Internal

Drive 0: SATA-0 = off
Controller: Serial ATA
Port: SATA-0
Drive details: Drive ID =
Capacity = Unknown
BIOS = Controlled by system BIOS

Drive 0 SATA 0 OFF? If this is the port into which the hard disk is plugged in, turn it ON in the BIOS

I turn the unit on and it now freezes at the Dell splash page

F2 = Setup
F12 = Boot Menu

The progress bar freezes at around 35 percent.
It doesn't seem to recognize my keyboard anymore it no longer lights up.
So I'm currently unable to press the F2 for setup.
Tried a new keyboard and changed plug in locations but still nothing.

did you ever solve this. same thing exactly as you described happened to me this morning.
