hi i own a lenova laptop,suddenly an error popped up showing disk error and unknowingly i formatted the hard drive and tried to install a newversion of windows 7 but in no way it is getting installed ,while expanding the files itself it shows error,i even tried with the original recovery disc still no joy any ideas will be highly appreciated,thanks

That happened to me. After several attempts at reinstalling windows, with no luck, booted using Linux on a USB stick and discovered the hard drive was dead. Replaced HDD and everything went fine.
