What is your budget? To be blunt thats pretty low specced for gaming you wont get great performance.

can you squeeze in a llano A6 processor, and leave out the GT440? The HD6530 might work for you.

then if you get more funds you could buy a bigger ati card and improve performance a little using igpu as well, or you could just get an even bigger card and use it solo. Its a good foundation and its a quad not a dual.

read the stickies, properly, had someone recently who claimed to have read, and didn't use mobo standoffs = dead mobo. ask first.

start up a thread when you are ready and ask questions as and when.

March 15, 2012 11:11:20 PM

for mobo i had in mind ASRock A55iCafe Motherboard (Socket FM1, AMD A55 FCH, DDR3, S-ATA 300, ATX, ASRock Instant Boot and APP Charger) it also fits in to my budget

should be ok, ram quality helps those setups a bit, for the intel stuff the ram quality is more or less irrelevant.

£311.79 and will last you alot longer than a dual athlon with a 440 GPU
all from this site http://www.cclonline.com

I had to cheap out on the case and bin the DVD drive to get the decent GPU and PSU. If you really need a DVD its an extra tenner. The mobo is AM3+ so there may be future upgrade potentiol there with a llano there is no future as FM2 replaces FM1 soon

i hve a old dvd drive with ide

That mobo won't take IDE but if you need a SATA drive they cost about a tenner.

I think the build would last you a while though and you can easily drop in more RAM or upgrade the GPU and CPU at a later point giving it a longer lifespan.

if my bugdet was 500 , what would you say be the best gaming rig for me ????
March 20, 2012 4:30:38 PM

I would list the same thing but bump to 8GB RAM, a 1TB or 500GB HDD and a 560ti card

+ slightly nicer case
