I think it's a pretty cool game.
Picked it up (and dropped it) at Allentown.
Right at the moment it has been temporarily coverted to a Pedal Powered
Pinball Machine.

Since you're gonna ask;

A bicycle is hooked up to a DC motor (generator) that charges a
battery.
The game is plugged into an inverter running off the battery. When you
pedal, you charge the battery. The brake levers are what makes your
flippers flip (via cables to levers at the flip buttons).
There are headlight relays in the flipper circuits and an isolator
involved, so that if you stop pedalling, the flippers won't work.

The gearing is hard enough that you will break a sweat playing a three
ball game.
The more intuitive, will realize that the game will run on its own, and
that you only need to pedal when you want to flip.
I tell kids when they're playing it, that electricity is hard to
produce and that when their dad yells at them for leaving the bathroom
light on, now they know why!

That sounds kinda cool :)

How hard do you have to pedal to keep it going?

Definitely unique! Have you thought of solar power???

You should put together a how to. Lots of science going on there!

JOhn!

Thanks for putting those up, I have no place to put them right now.

Solar powered huh...
I try and stay out of the sun with the tent. Besides the astute will be
able to see the pedaled powered slot car racing track in the backround.
Notice the theme? It's part of a bicycle rodeo that I put on.

As for a how to guide...
I'm not sure that I could write down all of the waste of time steps
that led me to this. Well maybe it wasn't a complete waste of time. But
my wife will be the first one to agree that I certainly do have a
special talent for spending my time on things other than what I should
really be doing.
