Computer restarts immediately after loading GRUB

Hello,
I just got a new Lenovo Thinkpad T420 with Windows 7 32-bit installed. It also has Ubuntu 12.04 installed using BURG as the bootloader.

Starting 15 minutes ago, when anyone powered up the machine, it would flash "Loading GRUB..." before immediately restarting itself and doing this again. This would repeat indefinitely.

The machine boots fine from all LiveCDs that I have tried. Thank you for any advice.

This also happened to me on an XP machine, using Grub and the latest Debian as the Linux OS. If anyone can help out on this, I would also appreciate it!
