Hi, I recently bought a philips2301e monitor. Problem is audio becomes scratchy when I scroll windows or generally when the monitor is "active". So audio is clean when the monitor is still, but becomes scratchy when I scroll web pages or use windows explorer, etc.

Is this interference caused by the monitor?
Could upgrading the audio cable correct this?

I should also mention that when gaming, with Team Fortress 2 at least, the audio is clean.

you're probably using the onboard audio of your motherboard and it's not the monitor it's likely some poor shielding on the motherboard. If you purchased a dedicated soundcard that noise will probably go away.
