655 crashes?

Hello,
why has my sony 655 quit working, it just went black and the lamp light is blinking. I turn it on green light comes on but tv does not powerup aftr a few minuets it turnes off? Is there a reset button I can't find.

Your lamp has probably gone bad. Your set will give you a blink code to diagnose. You either have a bad lamp, a bad ballast, a bad temp sensor or a bad fan. Can you provide a blink code?

No or I don't know how to do that and I don't have a book on the TV any more, I would suspect its the lamp where ever that is in the back.
