Antivirus software removal

Hello,
i want to delete the antivirus that was installed by my IT dept on my laptop that was given to me when i left my place of employment. how do i do that

if you are the administrator on the computer, just go to "Programs and Features" and uninstall it.

if i were you, i'd wipe the laptop.
I wouldn't necessarily trust the customized windows image IT dept used to setup your computer; plus the licensing for software would likely be for your employer.

This is excellent advice. Since the system has the companies software on it, you can't be sure what is actually running on the system, such as monitoring/keylogger apps.

Wiping and starting over is definitely the way to go. Good job!
