i have just installed xp home and had windows 2000 professional.
i want to remove all unwanted files for 2000.
When i start up i have to now choose which system to use - how do i get rid
of the files i no longer require and have my computer operate only 1 system.

Your installation of xp was done incorrectly
If you wished to keep all data/apps intact from the win2k installation, you
should have upgraded. As it is you have simply got a dual boot sys.
If you now remove win2k none of your old installed apps will work
If you wish to start completely fresh, boot from winxp cd, delete
partitions, create/format/install.
NB you will lose *all* on the C drive so backup data first

You need to edit your C:\boot.ini file and remove the WK2 line.
Right click on "my computer" - Properties - Advanced - Settings on
startup. Select Edit and remove the line.
Then delete anything WK2 you want.
