Hi
I have installed MAC snow leopard and now my scanner won't work through Scanwizard Pro 7.62. Artixscan 1800f from Microtek.

I open it and it gives Error code but when I press overview the scanner itself responds and does a scan but then i get error code=-1 and no image shows in scan window...

I also can't install Silverfast 6.0 Ai as I am told that I need to log on as the administrator...

Please help I now have no scanner capabilities....

It's pretty urgent...

I have the same problem with my new Mac Pro. My current work around it that since I have multiple drives I choose to start up on Leopard (OSX 10.5...) The scanner works then.
A friend offered this suggestion, but I have as yot not succeeded in making it work: Here is the message. If you are successful please let me know.
"I thought I would pass this short tip article along on getting older scanners to work in Snow Leopard again. Not sure if this will work with yours, but it's worth a try."

I GOT IT TO WORK!
I finally got a workaround direct from microtek but they said no guarantee, but it worked for me...here is copy of the email I got...
--------
i'm sorry, but there is no official driver for this Scanner and OS X 10.6.

But you can try to install this driver:
http://ww1.microtek.com.tw/download/swpro-770b1.dmg ( 29.1M Bytes )

After this, it's need to install the Scanner support package for AS 1800f by
hand.
http://microtek.evestar.de/ftp/driver/AS1800fSWPV107.dmg ( ~ 1 MB; Scanner
Support Package ArtixScan 1800f )

Perhaps it works at your Mac, but no guaranty.
