Okay, I logged on as adminstrator and ran detect and repair. It completed its
task and I restarted the computer. Ever hopeful, I opened up Outlook and then
exited. I am still receiving the error message. What do you now suggest? Or
should I just upgrade to 2003 :)

Everytime I exit
Outlook, I receive an error: Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
