No sound from PC to HDTV

Hi,

I have LG32LE5400 TV and PC. I m trying to get sound through my computer to HDTV .

in my PC, I have

X-fi Titanium Fatality sound card
NVDIA GTX 260 graphics card
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P mother board.


I have no clue how to get sound to my TV .

I have Y audio cable from Belkin.

the Digital coaxial audio cable, too.

Please help

  1. Based on what I could find, your HDTV only has 1 PC audio input and that's probably tied to the 15-pin D-Sub video input. What you probably need to do is run a video cable from a DVI output on your PC, using a DVI --> VGA adapter and a 3.5mm stereo audio cable from the PC to the HDTV. This *should* work, but your best bet would probably be to upgrade your graphics card to one that carries audio native over HDMI.
